Ketamine assisted psychotherapy
(KAP)
WE HAVE PARTNERED WITH JOURNEY CLINICAL TO INSURE THE BEST POSSIBLE HEALING EXPERIENCE.
Ketamine-Assisted Therapy at Transitional Characters
A legal psychedelic treatment designed to help you access deeper parts of yourself, break through emotional blocks, and reconnect with your own healing power.
Ketamine works by creating an altered state of consciousness that, when paired with intentional therapy, allows for powerful breakthroughs in depression, anxiety, trauma, and more. We center care that is relational, trauma-informed, and rooted in liberation psychology.
This offering is especially important in the healing of racialized trauma and the lingering impact of systemic oppression. Transitional Characters is proudly Black-owned, queer-led, and built on the vision of creating a safe, sacred space where BIPOC and other marginalized communities can explore psychedelic healing in a way that feels culturally grounded, liberatory, and full of care.
We offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in partnership with Journey Clinical. Their licensed medical team handles eligibility, prescriptions, and follow-up monitoring, while we provide the therapeutic support and integration needed to help you make meaning of your experience.
What is Ketamine?
Ketamine is a legal, safe, and effective medicine used to treat depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other conditions. Its antidepressant effects begin within hours and can last up to two weeks. Ketamine enhances neuroplasticity—helping your brain form new, healthier connections—and supports deeper emotional breakthroughs. At Transitional Characters, we work exclusively with sublingual lozenges (administered orally, not IV or nasal spray).
